Registration

We purposefully maintain a small class size (8-10) to ensure personal attention and interaction during class time. To enroll in our courses, you need to register each semester.

2017 – 2018 Course Schedule

COMPLETE THE REGISTRATION FORM

This year Shanan Classical Tutorials is working on digitizing the registration process. The new form is a fillable Adobe PDF which allows you to fill in the form on your computer and then submit it. You will need to fill out a separate form for each student.

You will need to use Adobe Acrobat DC or Adobe Acrobat Reader DC to fill in the form. For best results, make sure you have the latest version of the reader.

Adobe Acrobat Reader DC is free and can be found here: http://www.adobe.com/go/reader

To fill out your registration form on a mobile device, you will need Adobe Fill & Sign which can be found on iTunes https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/id950099951 or Google Play https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.adobe.fas.

To Complete the form, follow these steps:

  • Download the latest version of Adobe Acrobat Reader DC.
  • For mobile devices you will need the free Adobe Fill & Sign App which can be found on iTunes or Google Play.
  • Download the 2017 – 2018 Shanan Registration Form. Save the download to your documents folder or a place you will remember. Do not just open the form using a browser app.
  • Open the form using Adobe Acrobat DC, Adobe Acrobat Reader DC or the Fill & Sign App.
  • Fill in the Form.
  • Save a Copy of the form for your records.
  • Use the Submit Button at the top of the form to send your form info to Shanan. Please also email a copy of the completed form to the address listed on the form. This is to make sure nothing gets through the cracks since this is our first year working with a digital form.
  • Mail your registration fee to the address listed on the form.
  • We will send a confirmation email when we receive your form.

Guidelines to keep in mind as you fill out your registration form:

  • A student must be homeschooled at least 1 year prior to registering.
  • The grade is the one they will be in at the beginning of the fall.
  • It is very important that we have an email account for contacting the student; if you prefer your account, please make sure they receive the messages in a timely manner.
  • Be sure to mark if you want to rent the text.
  • Check the Red Check Box if you want honors level for designated Honors option courses.
  • Mark ALL Study Halls which your student will attend. A student must attend Study Hall if they are not in a class and are on campus.

AFTER REGISTERING

A deposit is required to hold your seat in a class. Please contact the Tutor for details. Tutor contact information can be found on the Tutor’s Bio and the Course Description.

Obtain the necessary texts and school materials which can be found on the under the course on the Course Descriptions page.

Fill out and notarize the Liability Release Form: Liability Release Form

  • We will email this form to you upon receipt of your Registration Form.
  • The Liability Release Form must be signed every year.

Attend the Mandatory Orientation Meeting where you will:

  • Receive information about important Shanan policies
  • Meet the tutors and sign in for your classes
  • Receive rented or supplied books and syllabi
  • Have any questions answered

Some courses have mandatory workshops during Orientation Week.

Be aware that students may be required to start their homework the week prior to the first class day.


PAYMENT FOR COURSES

All fees for courses (except labs) are due the first day of classes; please make checks out to the tutor – not to Shanan. Tutor contact information can be found on the Tutor’s Bio and under the Course Description.

Payment Plan

  • A payment plan is available for families that take a total of 3 or more classes.
  • Payment Plan details are on the Registration Form.

Textbook Rentals

  • If you are renting a text, be prepared to pay the rental fee the first day of class.
  • Textbook Rental information can be found on the Course Descriptions Page.
  • Make Textbook Rental checks payable to Shanan Classical.
  • The rental fees are partially refunded if the text is still in good and usable condition.
